Warehouse Point Junior Fifes & Drums

New Recruit Information

WHP Juniors record their first CD, April 2006

This extraordinary group of young fifers and drummers always likes to welcome new members into its ranks.  The corps was organized in 1993 and has performed at numerous holiday and firemen's parades, fife and drum musters, concerts and competitions throughout the Connecticut River Valley and beyond.

Although the corps does compete, its primary emphasis is teaching its young musicians to have a greater appreciation for, and understanding of, music.  The corps has won many awards over the years and has had a consistent level of quality in its performance and demeanor.

Membership in the corps is open to individuals age 21 and under.  Our experienced team of instructors allows us to teach at all levels, from the beginner to the more advanced musician.  Novice players can participate as color guard members, militia, or banner carriers, while learning to play their respective instruments.

The Warehouse Point Junior Fifes & Drums presents a wonderful activity for our youth.  It provides a safe, friendly, family-oriented environment in which our members can form lifelong friendships, increase their appreciation of music, travel, play the historic music of our nation's past, and have fun in the process.

Interested individuals can contact corps director, Robin Niemitz, at director@whpfifeanddrum.org or 860-745-0765.
